The holy anointing oil (Hebrew: שמן המשחה shemen ha-mishchah, "oil of anointing") formed an integral part of the ordination of the priesthood and the High Priest as well as in the consecration of the articles of the Tabernacle(Exodus 30:26) and subsequent temples in Jerusalem. The primary purpose of anointing with the holy anointing oil was to cause the anointed persons or objects to become qodesh, or "most holy" (Exodus 30:29).

Originally, the oil was used exclusively for the priests and the Tabernacle articles but was later extended to include prophets and kings (I Samuel 10:1). It was forbidden to be used on an outsider (Exodus 30:33) or to be used on the body of any common persons (Ex. 30:32a) and the Israelites were forbidden to duplicate any like it for themselves (Ex. 30:32b).

Historical Perspective

If you take the historical record on its own and remove the spiritual aspect from it but focus on the historical side you can better understand what might have been going on during these times. Mixing that with what we know today we have a much fuller picture than we can any other way, enough to even make sense of the one fact that is irrefutable according to Reza Aslan, the Author of Zealot,  The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth. That fact is that Jesus did in fact perform miracles and heal the sick. Many people did back then but he did something different. He didn't charge for it, everyone else did. But if he in fact was curing people how can we explain this. Was it by divine intervention or might it be explained by what he was using. In Exodus Moses is given the recipe for Holy Anointing Oil and According to Sula Benet, an Etymologist from the Institute of Anthropological Sciences, in Warsaw one of the Major ingredients of this oil would have been Cannabis.

Current Perspective

There is an ever growing amount of data that shows that Cannabis can be part of an effective treatment in over 150 different medical diseases and conditions. The first thing the Federal Government allowed Cannabis to be used for was Glaucoma. Back around the times that Jesus of Nazareth would have been alive that would have just been someone who was in fact blind. What effect would rubbing Holy Anointing Oil into someone who was suffering from Glaucoma have, would it not in fact if not outright cure the disease at least improve the persons condition, we believe it would.

Learning From History

We believe that Holy Anointing Oil did in fact have Cannabis in it and Jesus of Nazareth knew this making him able to perform the miracles attributed to him. Not saying anything about religion just the fact that according to the recipe this oil would in fact have had miraculous powers to heal many diseases, Glaucoma, Skin Diseases, Epilepsy, Dravets Syndrome, Parkinsons, Tumors. None of these diseases were well understood back then. What would people call someone who would suffer seizures randomly, they would think they were possessed. Using this oil would have been seen to be performing miracles. We are doing this specifically cause we would like to help people and improve the quality of life for all of society.
